Customer: Mandi Egli, Owner of Snap Fitness Walnut Creek
Problem: The cameras previously installed in the gym had very poor resolution, her network video recorder software was not user friendly, and she had to drive all the way to the gym to see the video footage on a monitor there.
Solution: AvidWorks Technology installed 5 Nest Cam IQ Indoor high resolution cameras for Mandi. We selected camera locations that would provide the best possible views of the gym while working with the existing infrastructure. Our technician, Will Gates, performed the installation work between the hours of 12:00 am and 5:00 am to minimize the disruption to Mandi's business.
Now, for the first time in the 11 years she's been in business, Mandi can keep an eye on things in her gym remotely from her smartphone. She can also communicate with gym members through the camera microphones and speakers if desired. The Nest app is much easier to use than her previous network video recorder software. And, by subscribing to Nest Aware, she has facial recognition and video look back features as well.
Mandi can even go a step further and put a live feed from her Nest cameras online. She can use it both as a marketing tool and to enable members to check the website to see whether the gym is crowded or not.
